100 best Xbox games of all time

The Microsoft video game console is currently in its third iteration with the Xbox One and bolsters an impressive library of titles across genres, with iconic series like Halo, Gears of War, Forza Motorsport, and more. But this video game giant wasn’t always a cultural phenomenon—the original Xbox had modest beginnings as it joined veterans Nintendo and Sony in the console wars in 2001, and soon developed a loyal fan base that would carry it to where it is today.

With nearly two decades of game titles, it’s easy to overlook classics that were released in the early days of the console—like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Splinter Cell, and arcade titles like Mark of the Ninja. which is why here at Stacker, we put together a list of the best titles across all three consoles as rated by Metacritic's Metascore (with any ties broken by user scores).

Did your favorite make the cut? Read on to discover the top Xbox games of all time.
