Bing Predicts NFL Week 11

This NFL season continues to be historic, captivating, and downright unpredictable: the Patriots losing by double-digits to the Titans, the Bills and Matt Barkley crushing the Jets, and a dangerous Baker Mayfield making the Falcons look foolish all fall within the unpredictable category. Passing records are being shattered left and right; offensive numbers are pacing to be higher than ever, and the NFL hasn't even reached the best stretch of the year.

While last week didn't offer much in terms of shakeups, Week 11 is sure to have major playoff ramifications. Here is a quick look at some of the most notable games of the week:

—Packers @ Seahawks: Another good Thursday night game to kick off the week. This is as close to must-win as it can be for both teams.

—Cowboys @ Falcons: Neither team can afford to fall to 4-6 as both have tough matchups to close the season. The Cowboys still have a chance at the NFC East crown while the Falcons will need a wildcard berth to sneak into the playoffs.

—Texans @ Redskins: The Texans are one of the hottest teams in football, but are they for real? The Redskins on the road will be a good test.

—Eagles @ Saints: The Eagles desperately need a victory to keep their hopes at a Super Bowl repeat alive. Too bad they have to beat the best team in football to get one.

—Vikings @ Bears: A battle to control the NFC North will take place in Chicago Sunday night.

—Chiefs @ Rams: This is Week 11's marquee matchup. These have been two of the best teams in football all season long, and they square off on Monday night in what could be a Super Bowl LIII preview.

Green Bay Packers (4-4-1) @ Seattle Seahawks (4-5)

Green Bay Packers @ Seattle Seahawks

Game time: Thursday, Nov. 15, 8:20 p.m. EST

Historical matchup: Green Bay Packers lead series 13-8

The Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks have developed a bit of a rivalry over the past few years dating back to the ‘Fail Mary' game in 2012. They'll battle in the Pacific Northwest this Thursday night on short rest.

Both teams are fighting for their playoff lives down the stretch. The Packers got a much-needed victory at home over the Miami Dolphins Sunday after tough losses to two of the NFL's best teams, the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots. It appears Green Bay has found their answer at running back, so long as they continue to feed him the ball. Aaron Jones, who entered Sunday with only 350 yards on the ground, amassed 145 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.

Even before his breakout performance, he led the NFL in yards per attempt (6.03), but amazingly hadn't carried the ball more than 14 times in a game. Jones will be integral to the team's success the rest of the season, especially as they look for their first road win against an equally desperate Seattle squad.

The Seahawks fell below .500 after a close loss to the Rams Sunday, and they now have four teams ahead of them in the wild card picture. They'll try to avoid a three-game losing streak this Thursday.

Dallas Cowboys (4-5) @ Atlanta Falcons (4-5)

Dallas Cowboys @ Atlanta Falcons

Game time: Sunday, Nov. 18, 1 p.m. EST

Historical matchup: Dallas Cowboys lead series 16-11

Just when it looked like the Falcons had turned their season around after stringing together three-consecutive wins, they go out and lay an absolute egg against the Cleveland Browns. Their defense looked rough: Browns QB Baker Mayfield was 17-of-20 for 216 yards and three touchdowns, but it was the ground game that destroyed the Falcons. Atlanta surrendered 211 rushing yards, which is a major issue to address as they welcome the Dallas Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott. Dallas' third-year running back is fresh off of a 151-yard rushing performance against the Eagles and their #2 defense against the run.

Dallas needed a win in a bad way, and was able to hold off Philadelphia 27-20. The Cowboys hadn't won on the road prior to Sunday night's victory, and they will travel again this Sunday. Last season in Dallas, the Cowboys lost to the Falcons 27-7, but Ezekiel Elliott did not play as he was serving a six-game suspension. Atlanta sacked Cowboys' quarterback Dak Prescott eight times last year and will need to find a way to generate that sort of pressure again. Last week, the Falcons couldn't bring Mayfield down once.

Carolina Panthers (6-3) @ Detroit Lions (3-6)

Carolina Panthers @ Detroit Lions

Game time: Sunday, Nov. 18, 1 p.m. EST

Historical matchup: Carolina Panthers lead series 6-2

Carolina was humbled last Thursday after the Steelers handed them a 52-21 beatdown in Pittsburgh. It's clear they aren't quite in the same category as the Los Angeles Rams or the New Orleans Saints in the NFC, but there is no shame in losing to the Steelers who have been one of the best teams in football over the last several weeks. Fifty-two points, however, is cause for concern; it's the most surrendered by a team this season.

The Panthers need not fret. They have a 71% chance to earn a playoff berth according to FPI predictions, but do need to right the ship this Sunday against a wavering Lions squad. Detroit has dropped three in a row (all double-digit losses) and sits firmly in last place in the NFC North. The defense looked helpless against the Bears, allowing a perfect passer rating from Chicago's QB Mitchell Trubisky in the first half of Sunday's 34-22 loss.

Expect the Panthers to bounce back this week and strengthen their position in the NFC Wild-Card standings, but this might be a closer contest than people think.

Tennessee Titans (5-4) @ Indianapolis Colts (4-5)

Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts

Game time: Sunday, Nov. 18, 1 p.m. EST

Historical matchup: Indianapolis Colts lead series 31-16

The Titans' 24-point victory over the Patriots was Week 10's big upset. Their #1 defense showed up big against New England, surrendering only 284 yards and 10 points to maybe the best quarterback in the history of the NFL.

Tennessee is back above .500 and has found a rhythm on offense. Over the past two weeks, quarterback Marcus Mariota has accounted for five touchdowns (four passing, one rushing), and running back Derrick Henry has three on the ground. The Titans are now just a game back of the AFC South-leading Houston Texans, a team they've already beaten once this season.

The Colts have discovered their identity as well, and quarterback Andrew Luck looks like the dangerous passer he was pre-shoulder surgery. He is currently #2 in touchdown passes this season (26). Indianapolis has won three-straight games and remain in the post-season hunt. The offense is humming, averaging 36 points-per-game during their three-game winning streak, but the defense gives up the sixth-most points-per-game and will need to be more effective down the stretch if the Colts want a chance.

This is the first of two matchups between these AFC South foes, and the division is still wide open.

Houston Texans (6-3) @ Washington Redskins (6-3)

Houston Texans @ Washington Redskins

Game time: Sunday, Nov. 18, 1 p.m. EST

Historical matchup: Series tied 2-2

This matchup features two teams atop their respective divisions. The Houston Texans—fresh off of a bye week and riding a six-game winning streak—travel to FedExField to take on the Washington Redskins.

Houston's six-consecutive wins are currently the second-longest streak in the league and a complete turnaround after their 0-3 start. Quarterback Deshaun Watson has been inconsistent after returning this season from ACL surgery, but has been impressive lately, including a five-touchdown performance against the Miami Dolphins in Week 8.

The Redskins capitalized on four turnovers last week in a 16-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but their defense did surrender over 500 yards. Despite the double-digit victory, this win was not a pretty one. Washington will continue to scratch and claw to stay in the driver's seat of the NFC East, and injuries may be a factor: They are down three starting offensive linemen and a starting cornerback.

A win for either team will go a long way for their playoff chances. The Texans take on the Titans (second in the AFC South) in Week 12, and the Redskins play the Cowboys and the Eagles (tied for second in the NFC East) in consecutive weeks after this contest.

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2-1) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (3-6)

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Game time: Sunday, Nov. 18, 1 p.m. EST

Historical matchup: Jacksonville Jaguars lead series 14-11

The Steelers' and the Jaguars' successes couldn't be more opposite over the past five games. They both currently have streaks—one just happens to be far more favorable than the other.

Winners of five straight, Pittsburgh is white-hot and coming off a 52-point beatdown over the formidable Carolina Panthers. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had one of the best games of his illustrious career, finishing with an incredible five touchdowns on 22-of-25 passing and a perfect passer rating. Mathematically, the Jaguars still have a shot at the playoffs, but they sit alone in last place of the AFC South and have shown no signs of promise while the three other teams in the division are playing with momentum. Jacksonville's five-game skid is a far cry from momentum.

This matchup was one many had circled at the beginning of the season, as both teams carried lofty expectations into the season, but it has been flexed out of the Sunday night slot because of the unsatisfactory efforts from the Jags. This is a rematch of a game played in last year's AFC divisional round; the Jaguars edged out the Steelers in a 45-42 shootout.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-6) @ New York Giants (2-7)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New York Giants

Game time: Sunday, Nov. 18, 1 p.m. EST

Historical matchup: New York Giants lead series 14-7

It took a game-winning drive from veteran QB Eli Manning, but the Giants finally collected their second victory of the season. Manning reached into his old bag of late-game heroics to help pull off a 27-23 triumph over the San Francisco 49ers. He hit wide receiver Sterling Shepard in the end zone in the final minute of the game. It was the two-time Super Bowl MVP's 36th career game-winning drive, but only his second in as many years.

In a bizarre Week 10 contest between Tampa Bay and Washington, the Buccaneers had 501 yards of offense, had five red zone possessions, punted just once, yet managed only a field goal in their 16-3 loss to the Redskins. The Bucs' high-octane offense was hindered by multiple turnovers. Despite more than 400 yards passing from Ryan Fitzpatrick, he was intercepted twice and lost a fumble inside the Washington 10-yard line. Running back Jacquizz Rodgers also lost a fumble, creating a four-to-zero turnover differential in the game.

With questions at quarterback for both of these underachieving teams, it looks like it will be Manning and Fitzpatrick under center again in Week 11.

Cincinnati Bengals (5-4) @ Baltimore Ravens (4-5)

Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens

Game time: Sunday, Nov. 18, 1 p.m. EST

Historical matchup: Cincinnati Bengals lead series 23-22

After the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens jockeyed for position in the AFC North early in the season, the Pittsburgh Steelers rattled off five-consecutive wins and now look like the team to beat in the division. That said, neither the Bengals nor the Ravens is totally out of the hunt just yet.

These two faced each other in Week 2; the Bengals, at home, bested the Ravens 34-23 behind four passing touchdowns from Andy Dalton. Three of those TDs were caught by All-Pro wide receiver A.J. Green though, and it's unlikely that he'll be available as he recovers from a foot injury.

The Bengals fired defensive coordinator Teryl Austin after the 51-14 trouncing they received from the Saints last Sunday. The team has given up more than 500 yards in each of its last three games. The Ravens are coming off of a bye week and hoping to halt a three-game losing streak. It's still unclear if quarterback Joe Flacco will be able to play after injuring his hip in Week 9 against the Steelers, but head coach John Harbaugh is hopeful he'll play.

Oakland Raiders (1-8) @ Arizona Cardinals (2-7)

Oakland Raiders @ Arizona Cardinals

Game time: Sunday, Nov. 18, 4:05 p.m. EST

Historical matchup: Oakland Raiders lead series 5-4

This will all but certainly be the last time the Cardinals are favored this season, simply because they're playing maybe the only team more putrid than they are: the Oakland Raiders. While this game is 100% meaningless when it comes to playoff implications, it will play a role in who controls the #1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft.

The Raiders have a league-worst one victory and may not win again the rest of the season. Oakland has not scored a touchdown over their last two games and are third worst in the NFL in points-per-game (16.3). In Week 10, they could only muster six in their lost to the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Cardinals actually average fewer points per game (13.8) than the Raiders and are ranked #31 in yards per game. The only team worse in both categories is the Buffalo Bills. Arizona covered the enormous spread against the Kansas City Chiefs last week, but lost nonetheless.

There are a lot of good football games to watch Week 11; this doesn't happen to be one of them.

Denver Broncos (3-6) @ Los Angeles Chargers (7-2)

Denver Broncos @ Los Angeles Chargers

Game time: Sunday, Nov. 18, 4:05 p.m. EST

Historical matchup: Denver Broncos lead series 65-51-1

The Chargers have quietly been one of the best teams in all of football this season.Their 7-2 mark is the best they've had at this point in the season since 2006, and without making too much commotion, they have strung together six wins and hold the second-best record in the AFC. They weren't required to do much to handle the hapless Oakland Raiders last week with Philip Rivers finishing 18-of-26 with 223 yards passing and Melvin Gordon adding 165 yards from scrimmage in the 20-6 victory.

The Broncos have run into the best teams in football at the height of their hot streaks, which will be the case again this weekend. Denver had its heart broken against the Texans last Sunday as kicker Brandon McManus missed a 51-yard field goal as time expired that would have elevated the Broncos to their fourth win of the season. Instead, they'll try to avoid dropping seven of their last eight games when the team travels to L.A. on Sunday. The only bad loss of the season for the Broncos was on the road against the New York Jets, yet they sit well below .500 with no real postseason aspirations.

This is the first of two matchups between these AFC West rivals. They also square off in Week 17, which may be a meaningless game for the Chargers who hope to have a playoff spot secured at that point.

Philadelphia Eagles (4-5) @ New Orleans Saints (8-1)

Philadelphia Eagles @ New Orleans Saints

Game time: Sunday, Nov. 18, 4:25 p.m. EST

Historical matchup: Philadelphia Eagles lead series 17-13

Can anyone stop the New Orleans Saints? They are the hottest team in football, holding an eight-game winning streak and completely obliterating the Cincinnati Bengals last week 51-14. The Saints have scored 96 points over the past two weeks, and Drew Brees is playing at an MVP level. No regular starting quarterback has a better passer rating or a higher completion percentage than Brees, who has thrown for 21 touchdowns and only one interception.

The path is far from easy if the Eagles want a chance to repeat as Super Bowl champions. In fact, no team has a more difficult schedule down the stretch. Philadelphia's future opponents are currently 40-23, which is the best combined record any team will face. However, the Saints are likely their toughest test.

The Eagles dropped an important divisional matchup to the Cowboys on Sunday night, 27-20, and now sit under .500. Cowboys' running back Ezekiel Elliott gashed the Eagles' defense for 187 all purpose yards. Philadelphia will now need to contain one of the best one-two punches in the league in Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram Jr., along with a lethal passing attack that features Michael Thomas (#2 in NFL in receiving yards). Unfortunately for the Eagles, they lost their best cornerback, Ronald Darby, to an ACL tear during last week's loss.

Minnesota Vikings (5-3-1) @ Chicago Bears (6-3)

Minnesota Vikings @ Chicago Bears

Game time: Sunday, Nov. 18, 8:20 p.m. EST

Historical matchup: Minnesota Vikings lead series 60-52-2

This NFC North matchup was flexed into the Sunday night slot after Pittsburgh at Jacksonville got the boot. The Chicago Bears and the Minnesota Vikings are #1 and #2 in the division, respectively, but the winner of Sunday's contest will sit alone in first place.

The Vikings have dominated this series in recent years, having won the last three games and eight of the last 11, but the Bears have finally found stability at the quarterback position in Mitchell Trubisky. The second-year signal-caller was 23-of-30 for three touchdowns (and a rushing touchdown) and a career-high 355 yards in Sunday's 34-22 victory over the Detroit Lions. Over the last six games, Trubisky has 19 touchdowns (17 passing, two rushing) and only four interceptions. The Bears' kicker Cody Parkey will certainly be playing under pressure: He missed four kicks (two field goals, two extra points) hitting all four off the upright on Sunday.

Minnesota is coming off of their bye week. They also beat the Lions their last time out. Their tenacious defense sacked Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford 10 times in Week 9, and they will look to generate pressure early against the young Bears' quarterback.

Chicago has won three straight while the Vikings have won four of their last five. These two teams will square off once more in the last game of the regular season, but neither team can afford to look past this matchup.

Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) @ Los Angeles Rams (9-1)

Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Rams

Game time: Monday, Nov. 19, 8:15 p.m. EST

Historical matchup: Kansas City Chiefs lead series 7-4

This matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Rams could be a preview of Super Bowl LIII. High-powered offenses, ranked #1 and #2 in the NFL, will clash in what is sure to be nothing short of a fireworks display. Quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes II and Jared Goff rank #1 and #2 in passing yards, respectively, and have huge playmakers to make their jobs easier, including the Rams' Todd Gurley II, who is having an MVP-caliber season. His 1,390 yards from scrimmage and 17 total touchdowns lead the NFL.

The Rams narrowly escaped with a 36-31 victory at home against the Seahawks but did lose receiver Cooper Kupp for the season with an ACL tear.

The Chiefs have struggled on defense this season—giving up the fourth-most yards-per-game in the league—but that number is slightly deceiving as teams are often trailing by a large margin and have no choice but to keep the ball in the air and seek out big chunks of yardage.

This game was moved from Mexico City and will be played in L.A. after the playing surface at Estadio Azteca did not meet NFL standards. This one could very well come down to which team makes the fewest mistakes. Both quarterbacks have big arms and aren't afraid to force the ball into tight windows, but one errant throw could be the difference between these two titans. The over-under according to Las Vegas oddsmakers opened at 64 points, which, if it holds, will be the highest line since at least 1986.
